Falassarna beach lies 43km west of Amalthia Beach Resort and is one of the most astonishing, with a wide beach and soft, golden sand. The waters are incredibly turquoise and the beach is sandy all the way into the sea. Perfect for adults and families alike, due to ease of access into the water, it is organised for the most part. Swimming in these waters will make you feel like you are in a natural swimming pool! Enjoy unforgettable sunset views from this west-facing beach!

Balos beach is found approximately 45 km west of our resort, and is a stunning lagoon type beach that is perhaps one of the most photographed in the world. Fine, white sand is prominent all around, protruding to the surface due to shallow crystal waters which are ideal for children. Balos is striking to experience whether you are a family, a couple, or a group of friends and you can also visit the rocky satellite island of Gramvoussa that boasts a Venetian castle at the top.

Elafonissi beach can easily be considered a ...Cretan paradise on earth! The waters have an incredible lapis lazuli colour, while the sand is almost pink. It is essentially the mainland beach opposite the homonymous island of Elafonissi, which is a protected nature reserve. You can walk to the island from the beach, through the shallow clear waters and experience the beauty of Crete’s wilderness!
